MUSICIAN Andy Muridzo says he is still together with his wife Rumbidzayi Mwabvu and reports that their marriage was in tatters and was being fuelled by a cartel of haters who want to paint him in bad light.
Andy said that even though he did not want to discuss his marriage in newspapers, he felt he needed to clarify that his marriage with Rumbidzayi, who is popularly known as Mai Simbiso, was still intact.
H-Metro reported yesterday that the marriage was on the rocks.
Repeated attempts to get Andy’s side of the story, before the publication of the story, were fruitless. He refused to entertain this newspaper and even threatened our reporter.
However, yesterday he spoke to this newspaper.
He said:
“I just wanted to live a quiet life and did not want my private life to go public for the sake of my children as well as my music,” said Andy.
“I didn’t want to answer but hey apa H-Metro mandihwinha uye munogara makandihwinha ndinovimba kuti mafara nezvirikutaurwa nevaverengi venyu.
“The truth is that I never separated with Mai Simbiso, it’s only people who have bitterness with my life who are spreading falsehoods.
“Tiritese naMai Simbiso, I am on the way from Beitbridge otherwise I could have met you for further details.”
This was a different Andy to the one who refused to entertain H-Metro, when we called him to give us his side of the story, before the publication of our article yesterday.
But, when he realised that the story was going to be published, after reading previews of our headlines on social media on Sunday night, he threatened the reporter with unspecified action.
“Mark my words Arron, from tomorrow (yesterday) going onwards I want to prove to you that I can end your job.
“Why did you keep asking questions to my wife?”
