A HARARE man is demanding DNA tests to ascertain paternity of his three kids and wonders why his former lover prevents him from disciplining them.
Aaron Dzimbanhete told the maintenance court that his ex-girlfriend, Erica Muhwanda, always prevents him from disciplining the kids.
He now doubts whether the children are really his kids.
“In the meantime, l am offering US$90 since l am no longer employed.
“She got me fired and took my job.
“I have no source of income and my current wife is the one who takes care of me.
“l will have to sell my property in the rural areas so that l am able to pay maintenance,” he said.
Erica said the other child was in Form One and the other two are in ECD and their fees is US$90.
“We cohabited for 13 years and l don’t mind going for the DNA tests, but he should know that it’s a waste of time and money,” said Erica.
Magistrate Sharon Mashavira ordered Aaron to pay US$90.
