EMERGING singer Blessing Deve has released another gospel-inspired song.
Titled “Anoziva”, the track, according to the 45-year-old, is a song of hope which was inspired by biblical scriptures, among them Jeremiah 1:5.
The verse reads: “Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew you, and before you came forth out of the womb, I sanctified you and I ordained you a prophet unto the nations.”
Through the song, she encourages listeners not to worry about earthly challenges but instead to have faith in God for he is aware of our needs. Produced by Sir Nigel Nyangombe, Deve co-wrote the song with Carven Gumbanjera.
According to the budding singer, she also drew inspiration from another scripture, Mathew 6:25-34.The verses, Deve said, are a clear testimony of God’s love for humanity.
“In these verses, God assures us not to worry about tomorrow or what we shall eat or drink, or what we shall wear. In fact, He assures us not to worry about anything at all,” she said.
The soothing track, the singer reckons, will give listeners a life-changing experience.
“We are living in the wake of soul-shaking events such as the Covid-19 pandemic. Some have lost hope, but my message, through this song, is that I believe we have entered a season of encouragement in which burdens will be lifted and lost hope restored,” added Deve.
Bursting onto the music scene in 2016 with a seven-track album titled “God Is Able,” she has also produced songs such as “Ishe Wemba Ino”, “Zita raJesu”, “I Love You Lord”, “Ngatifare”, among others.
Deve is a devoted Christian who is passionate about delivering good news to people across the world in song. Apart from music, the proud mother of three is also an entrepreneur, a business development officer and serves in the worship and women’s ministry in her local church.
