The delegation was also made up of Mr Mabvuto Katemula and Mr Bota Tsara Dia Lamina of Malawi and Madagascar respectively. “The four experts came to Zim­babwe to review Zimbabwe’s laws, structures, systems and proof of application of Zimbabwe’s anti-corruption laws against the set standards and guidelines of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption which Zimbabwe ratified on 19th October, 2006 when his Excellency, the President, signed the convention con­firming Zimbabwe’s acceptance of the general principles of UNCAC,” said Mr Matshiya. He said the review was based on a comprehensive self-assessment checklist which Zimbabwe anti-corruption experts had completed and forwarded to the UNCAC secretariat for review.
