THE two Zimbabwean players based in Denmark, former Motor Action player Quincy Antipas and Silas Songani, formerly with Harare City, had mixed fortunes with their respective clubs over the weekend.
Antipas scored for his side Hobro as they drew 1-1 with Aalborg while Songani was an unused substitute in his team’s 3-2 win at FC Nordsjaelland on Saturday.
Antipas broke the impasse 15 minutes into the game but the hosts struck back four minutes after the restart as the match ended 1-1.
The goal saw the former Motor Action and Caps United take his goal tally to three after 11 games but his team dropped to sixth position on the table with the league’s new boys just a point ahead of Songani’s Sonderjyske.
In Belgium, former Highlanders left back Vusa Nyoni watched from the terraces as his Mons outfit held Tubize to a 2-2 draw on the road.
Also not tasting action was former Highlanders and Bantu Rovers junior Marvellous Nakamba who spent the entire match on the bench as his Dutch Eredivisie outfit Vitesse beat Willem II 4-1.
With the win Vitesse jumped to seventh position on the table and remain unbeaten in their last six matches, recording five wins in the process.
Costa Nhamoinesu, former player of the now defunct AmaZulu was part of the Czech Republic side, Sparta Prague’s 3-1 away win at Zbrojovka Brno on Saturday as they maintained second position in the Czech Liga and kept pressure on leaders Viktoria Plzen.
