Antivirus aim to rock Intwasa

The crew will use the event to try and bring hip-hop to the fore during the arts festival which seeks to celebrate the arts in the city of Bulawayo.

Speaking in an interview recently, member of the Antivirus crew, Prince Dube, said the crew planned on being the face of the genre during the festival as he felt hip-hop was still very under-appreciated in the city.

“We plan on showing people who might not have had the opportunity to witness hip-hop dancing a chance to see what the genre is all about. We still feel that dancing from our genre of music does not get the same level of support that other forms of dance are able to generate in the city,” said Dube.

He said they plan on coming out with bigger and better moves during the festival as they seek to please their growing fans as well as capture new fans at the popular event.

“We plan on living up to our promise of not disappointing our followers but also due to the popularity of Intwasa we hope to capture more fans who might not have been exposed to Antivirus before,” said Dube.

The crew will also be looking to collaborate with fellow Bulawayo dance group, Break Equation, in the hope of bringing something new and different to the table on the Bulawayo hip-hop dance scene as they fight to keep their act fresh and entertaining.

“We as Antivirus pride ourselves in the innovations that we bring to the table which prevents as us entertainers from going stale.

“This is the reason we are working on something with Break Equation because we know we will be bringing something new to the table that will be pleasing to the eye,” said Dube.
