Apostolic sect signs anti-sanctions petition

Mudzidzi Akinoji-S who was representing their leader Mudzidzi Ajiwasi-Lekiyanzi (Wimbo) said illegal sanctions were responsible for Zimbabwe’s pathetic situation both economically and culturally hence the need to have them urgently removed.
“People under sanctions are easily enslaved, which is against the teachings of Johanne who said we must not work for the whites and should not abandon our culture for an alien one.
“We want to pray for our country to be liberated from this Western bondage and in the process we should also pray for those who died for the country so that our ambitions are blessed,” he said.
Also present at the signing ceremony was the Zanu-PF DCC 4 chairman for the area Cde Jaison Pasade who said the sanctions were causing untold suffering to all Zimbabweans and churches were not spared.
“Sanctions are causing hunger and hunger is known to cause strife.
“The West is trying to stir civil disobedience in the country through deprivation of the basics of survival.
“When the President goes to Europe, Asia or an African forum, we want him to carry our petition and register our displeasure and anger towards Britain and her friends,” he said.
The National Anti-Sanctions Petition Campaign seeks to register more than two million signatures of Zimbabweans who are opposed to the widely-discredited embargo.
