TEMPE (Arizona) – Baptist pastor Steven Anderson told his Arizona congregation that gays should be executed for an “Aids-free Christmas.” “We can have an Aids-free world by Christmas . . . if we follow this,” he said from the pulpit. Then he read from the Bible: “If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, even both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them.”
Anderson added: “That, my friend, is the cure for Aids. It was right there in the Bible all along, and they’re out spending billions of dollars in research and testing.”
He added: “If you executed” gays “like God recommends, you wouldn’t have all this Aids running rampant.”
He referred to World Aids Day on Monday, and said people had been “brainwashed” about the disease, and insisted that it was actually the “judgment of God.”
A crowd funding campaign has been launched to send Anderson coal for Christmas. Donations sent to the group, Planting Peace Foundation, will be used to help people with HIV while the “naughty pastor” will receive a “lump of coal in a festive package tied with a bow that will be delivered on Christmas Eve.” – UPI.
