TWO armed robbers on Monday took turns to rape one of their victims in Ushewokunze, Harare.
The 29-year-old woman was subjected to unprotected sexual abuse when four men armed with knives broke into her house at around 1am.
The woman was asleep when three men broke the door lock and gained entry into her house.
They demanded cash and she indicated that she had none.
They ransacked the house and stole her Samsung cellphone, which was under the pillow and US$86 which was inside the wardrobe.
One of the robbers withdrew an Okapi knife threatening to kill her if she resisted their demands.
Two of the robbers then took turns to rape the woman without protection.
Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza confirmed the case.
“Police are investigating an armed robbery case and rape in Ushewokunze suburb.”
