THE Zimbabwe National Army has embarked on a recruitment of health personnel in a move meant to further strengthen the defence forces medical team.

In a Press statement, the ZNA said it is aiming to recruit medical practitioners from various fields.

It said the candidates must be qualified to serve in the military.

“The Zimbabwe National Army is recruiting suitably qualified candidates who are Zimbabwean citizens and physically fit to join the organisation and serve as medical doctors, pharmacists, radiographers, registered general/specialist nurses, lab technicians, psychologists, pharmacy technicians, physiotherapists, rehab technicians and many more,” said the ZNA.

The army said those interested should submit their detailed CVs and certified long birth certificates, national identity cards and academic certificates.

The army said prospective candidates should be aged 30 years and below and must have a minimum of 5 Ordinary Levels including English Language and Mathematics in addition to professional qualifications.

It said interested candidates are to submit detailed CVs and application letters to the Zimbabwe National Army Recruiting Office, Josiah Magama Tongogara Barracks, P Bag 7720, Causeway, Harare .

“Those in Matabeleland North and Bulawayo Province can drop their applications at Headquarters 1 Infantry Brigade (Mzilikazi Barracks, Bulawayo — 0292209436), and Matabeleland South Province at Headquaters Bulawayo District (Lookout Masuku Barracks, Bulawayo — 029266687),” said the statement.

Applicants from other provinces are to submit their applications at various army offices nearest to them.

The ongoing process is said to be ending on January 16.

The army said it does not engage third parties for the recruitment process and warned prospective candidates to be wary of unscrupulous people who might want to fleece them of their hard-earned money by posing as the go-between in the process. —
