SOUTH Africa-based gospel artist Canaan Nyathi says he is enjoying an amazing opportunity of being part of Africa’s gospel outfit, Spirit of Praise.
Nyathi was recently joined by local gospel star, Everton Mlalazi.
“Spirit of Praise has done many volumes like number 8, 9, and 10.
“It’s like a heartfelt feeling because I did a song to represent myself and the Zimbabwean family, which is a heartfelt song called Ukwenzile.
“Ukwenzile was coming from my life experience and what God has done because I grew up here in South Africa with my parents being far from me.
“God made me not to fall into any trap, dangerous things I could have done as a young boy but God protected me.
“Ukwenzile means I have done it, I am now an inspiration to someone and everyone can see in my life that I am literately blessed.”
He said the Spirit of Praise has been his beautiful home and platform to express his gift.
“I also did Khulul’umoya Wami and the song Uwenze, helps me to express my Zimbabwean family.
“We are now two in this team with my brother, Everton Mlalazi, and I am so glad to see my homie mixing with one of the biggest groups in SA & Africa as a whole.
“Spirit of Praise is my home, the ministers of song, and now my brother Everton has joined, I am loving it
“We need to be part of winners and the experience is so beautiful because I am able to put these countries together and bring music together.
“It has been an amazing experience, the love I get from South Africa and even the love from my country.
“Zimbabwe has accepted my music the same as SA.”
