UK-BASED reggae/dancehall artist, Fyah Bantu King, is set to release a dancehall riddim compilation in honour of his late father.
Titled Yakope, the riddim features an array of artists who include Ndunge Yut, Pumacol, Celscious, Jay C and Jah Hanief.

“This riddim is a tribute to my late father Yakope Mateuro, hence simply the title Yakope.
“It’s also a riddim to honour, showcase and celebrate talent from Budiriro, Rugare, Chiweshe and Chindunduma areas that have my roots; where I was raised and lived before moving to the UK.
“The compilation is a production of Bantu Arts Heritage and features some artists from those areas and many others as well.
“I have been battling cancer and to be alive right now is all because of God’s grace, that is why I am continuing doing music, this is the talent that God gave me
“I don’t only do it for myself but to uplift others who are trying to make it through music,” he said.
Fyah Bantu recently released a song featuring Ghanaian singer, Dhat Gyal, titled Craving For You.
“My current song, featuring Dhat Gyal, has been received well.
“I have more singles to be released during the year, at the moment it’s all about the Yakope riddim that will be out this month.”
Born Tatenda Mateuro, the singer is one of the local talented producers based in the UK.
