Artiste dedicates album to President

BUDDING Chimurenga ace, Lucas Manhanga, will on Wednesday officially launch his third project, Zimbabwe Dairai Hoyee, a dedication to fallen heroes and President Mugabe.

Manhanga, who boasts of more than five years in the music scene, said he penned a piece titled Gushungo Chiedza for the iconic and luminary President Mugabe who continues to be a pillar of strength to many.

Other songs on the album are title track, Zimbabwe Dairai Hoyee, Mai Mugabe Muvakomborere, Salute Masoja, Tovaremekedza and Pfungwa dzaNehanda.

“We have a blessed leader in President Mugabe. He is a dedicated, selfless and hardworking leader who has been a source of inspiration to all of us.

“I dedicate one of the songs to him not forgetting our liberation war heroes who fought for our freedom. We are a free and peaceful country now because of them,” said Lucas.

The youthful singer recently put up a well-choreographic act at Supa Mandiwanzira’s victory celebrations held in Nyanga.

To date, he has two albums namely Beginning of Lucas and Kukanganwa Ndakoshiwa.

“My new album will hit the streets next week. I have high expectations that it will surpass the finesse of my previous projects. DJ Touch and Ghetto Massive co-produced the album. I would like to thank sponsors such as Tino Machakarika and Holligate for sponsoring me and supporting my music career,” he said.

His music is inspired by veteran songwriter, Cde Chinx and heir to the Utakataka Express throne, Peter “Dhewa” Moyo.
