TWO years ago, viewers thronged theatres nationwide glued to the Operation Restore Legacy play.

Charles Munganasa has penned another play titled ‘‘Live discussion with the Late Robert Mugabe’’, which will be launched at Charles Austin Theatre in Masvingo on Saturday.

“It’s one of those ideas that came from the prison of my imagination,” he said.

Munganasa said the play is an imaginary live discussion with the late former President.

“I wouldn’t want to pre-empty the play but it is self-explanatory, it’s a live discussion with the late Mugabe, an imaginary one.”

The play will feature some prominent actors like Khetani Michael Banda, Mary Masimba radio presenter for Hevoi FM and  Derreck Mapfumo, Rose Zivanai and Efias Mapfumo.  The one-hour live discussion  will see the late Mugabe on an interview with media personality Ruvheneko Parirenyatwa.

Munganasa said the play is set for a national tour depending with its reception on the launch.  Munganasa have been nominated for Nama awards three times, voted Theatre student of the year in 2013 at University of Zimbabwe and received several awards at provincial level. He is a resident writer and a play director at Charles Austin Theatre.
