Bulawayo-based creative group Asante Mo is set to take their dynamic art form to the capital city, Harare, where they are scheduled to perform their music, percussion, and dance production Indandanda at Theatre in the Park.
The five-member ensemble will stage the show over two days, beginning April 29, 2025, and concluding on April 30.
One of the group’s founders, Newman Trinidad, described Indandanda as a vibrant expression of Southern African culture, brought to life through the power of rhythm and movement.
“Indandanda is a high-energy production that showcases the richness and diversity of African percussion and dance. With captivating rhythms, mesmerising dance moves, and infectious energy, this show promises to leave audiences spellbound,” Trinidad said.

He added that the production is an opportunity for the group’s Harare-based fans to experience their artistry live.
“This is a chance for our followers in Harare and surrounding areas to connect with us in person and feel the heartbeat of African creativity,” he said.
Asante Mo comprises Newman Trinidad, Bekithemba Phiri, Aaron DJ Beast, Native DJ, and Makhosi Mlotshwa. The group is renowned for blending traditional African sounds with contemporary performance styles, making them a rising force in Zimbabwe’s cultural scene. – Follow on X: @mthabisi_mthire
