AUSC Region 5 Games: Free entry for spectators

AFRICAN Union Sports Council Region 5 secretary-general Mvuzo Mbebe has announced that there will be free entry to the preliminary stages of the 10-day sporting extravaganza.

“With regards to charges, all the preliminary events there will be a free charge for the spectators. However, there will be a ticketing system to control the crowd by the security,” said Mbebe.

Host nation Zimbabwe, South Africa, Zambia, Angola, Malawi, Botswana, Namibia, Swaziland, Lesotho, and Mozambique will be vying for medals in various sporting disciplines.

The countries will compete in athletics, basketball, football, boxing, judo, tennis, netball and swimming sporting disciplines.

ZITF, Large City Hall, Luveve, White City and Barbourfields Stadiums, Bulawayo Athletics Club (BAC) and Bulawayo Swimming Pool are the games venues.
