UPCOMING author, Vimbai Isabelle Dzivakwi, has released her debut novel titled ‘Life in Layers’, which is aimed at tackling real-life experiences.
Her work is fuelled by a passion for creativity, purpose, and the belief that words have the power to transform lives.
“This is my first book. Life is not a straight line. It’s not black-and-white, it has grey areas.
“It has colour and these are the different layers we unravel in this journey.
“This book was inspired by the real-life situations we come across and how we tackle these.”
She added:
“We go through healing, we go through growth and we experience relationships and love, all in this journey.
“So, it was observation, research, and some ideas inspired by personal events that led me to analyse these situations and try to help others reflect and share my opinions on these different layers in life.”
Dzivakwi said she began writing at the age of nine.
“But it only got serious in high school and I have written so many short stories from high school until now.
“I also have a certificate for a short programme I did on Script Writing with Zim Digital.”
She described ‘Life in Layers’ as a heartfelt journey through the moments that shape us.
“Love that softens and breaks us, growth that stretches us, and healing that restores us.
“Each page peels back another layer of the human experience, inviting you to reflect, feel, and recognise pieces of yourself within the words.”
She added:
