Avenues Clinic scoops SADC quality services awards

Sunday Mail Reporter
Zimbabwe’s International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) certified private clinic, The Avenues Clinic, recently won a Southern African Development Community (SADC) quality services regional award in Botswana. The recognition will see the clinic, which is the first private clinic in the country to be ISO-certified, being recognised at an international level as the regional clinic that provides the highest quality services in Southern Africa.

The clinic’s medical director, Mrs Merissa Kambani, said the award has brought so much pride and joy as it has put the country on the international map. “We are happy as a clinic to have represented the country during the awards and to be recognised as a country,” Mrs Kambani said.

“Being a pioneer of the ISO quality system in the private sector has come through a lot of hard work as we aim to achieve and maintain the post.
“This award has made our customers’ expectations rise, therefore as a clinic we have to continue working hard to meet the expectations,” she said.

The Sadc annual quality awards are meant to recognise and appreciate organisations and individuals who are contributing to quality advancement in all sectors of the industry.
