Baby mamas’ hard lives

. . . One of the most anticipated feature films, Baby Mamas, is opening in cinemas in Mzansi.

The film revolves around the daily lives of four professional women who are all in different stages of their own real-life baby mama drama.

Baby Mamas features a stellar cast of well-known local entertainers such as Dineo Ranaka, Thembisa Mdoda, Pamela Nomvete, Salamina Mosese, Donovan Pietersen, Jonathan Boynton-Lee and Khaya Mthembu.

It was directed by TV host and businesswoman Stephina Zwane, who co-owns Sorele Media with producer Salamina Mosese.

Salamina, who stars as Toli, said the film was funny and tackled daily issues most women, especially single mothers, go through.

“People will get a chance to see well-known and new faces as they show their talents,” said Salamina.

The four main characters are Toli, Chantel, Sandy and Joy, who all work for an insurance company in Joburg.

Good girl Chantel discovers she’s pregnant and her whole world is turned upside down. Sandy’s still in love with her ex-boyfriend and father of her child.

While Joy’s in a rocky relationship with bad-boy Sizwe. They have a volatile, on-again-off-again relationship, filled with violent outbursts and constant allegations of cheating.

Toli’s the leader of the group.

She’s been through all the baby mama drama one person can handle.

She’s learning first-hand that the most difficult part of dating as a single mum is deciding how much you are willing to risk on your path to love. — Daily Sun
