WITH three goals under his belt, pint-sized Highlanders midfield dynamo Mafios Chihweta, will this afternoon again be expected to reproduce his livewire performances when they take on Triangle United at Barbourfields Stadium.
Nicknamed, Baby Quantum, Chiweta has been on song for the black and white army courtesy of his visionary play, dribbling wizardry and ability to score crucial goals.
A month ago, Chiweta grabbed the all-important goal for Bosso when they edged Manica Diamonds 1-0 in an away fixture that was played at Mutare’s Sakubva Stadium.
In their Week 20 home tie against Greenfuel, Chiweta was on target helping Bosso collect their first set of maximum points under the guidance of caretaker coach Try Ncube.
On Sunday, Chiweta was again on top of his game when they played against Scottland FC at Rufaro.
He thrust Bosso into the lead in the 17th minute before a Terrence Dzukamanja brace earned the hosts all three crucial points.
It was a day when Chiweta was a thorn in the flesh for veteran Warriors defender Godknows Murwirwa, as the latter continuously ran into space, manipulated the ball to stay ‘on it’, changed direction and skipped past the former and help Bosso keep possession.
Only God knows why Chiweta, who will be expected to replicate his top drawer acts against Triangle United this afternoon as Bosso seek to march out of the relegation matrix.
