Highlands A were the runners-up and walked away with the silver medal.
The bronze medal of the men’s category went to Avondale’s Collen Robertson.
The ladies section saw Avondale’s Pene Olivier winning the gold medal while Alex Sports Club A’s national team player Kerry Craven walked away as the silver medal winner. Jay Peterson of Alex Sports Club C won the bronze medal. The tournament, which has drawn several teams, will continue with the singles this morning at Highlands and Avondale bowling clubs. The president of the bowling umpires D’reen Hacker is confident that the tourney will end on a high note.
“We had good games from Friday when we started and we hope to see improved games in the singles category.
“The players were affected by the weather especially today. The event has improved very much this year and we expect to keep the good standards,” Hacker said.
