Back to her Scandal-ous best!

She welcomed her first child, daughter Isabelle, into the world in April alongside husband Nnamdi Asomugha. And, after enjoying some time off with the youngster, Kerry Washington was pictured for the first time back on the set of the hit TV series that made her famous on Monday. The 37-year-old looked chic in a simple black and white ensemble as she filmed scenes for Scandal in downtime Los Angeles, in which she stars as high-flying Olivia Pope.

The actress looked animated as she sheltered from the sunshine with help from a large umbrella and a member of the crew.
Her dark tresses looked super shiny worn down over her shoulders, as she chatted to companions after opting for a smart pale coat.

It must have been a successful day at work for the beauty, as she later tweeted: ‘‘I know I’ve said it before but . . . I love my job!!!!!!!! #grateful’’.
Kerry kept her slim figure hidden after polishing off her outfit with a black top, skinny jeans and sexy knee-high boots.

The new mom carried a large quilted brown bag on her shoulder as she filmed for series four of the ABC drama.
The star, who plays a crisis management expert to the President, also tweeted on the day: ‘‘Pick a card and join me in wishing @BarackObama a very happy birthday!’’

Kerry had a lot to chat about with talk show host Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday, who himself just welcomed a daughter with wife Molly McNearney.
During an appearance to promote the political thriller, she discovered their baby girls have one major thing in common – they are both named after their great grandmothers.

The star – who married Isabelle’s father Nnamdi earlier this year – also thanked the chat show host for sending her some of her yummy goodies while she was expecting. – Daily Mail.
