Bantu Clothing, a brand from Bulawayo is exhibiting at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair with an aim of promoting the different ethnic groups in the country through fashion.
The creative director of Bantu Clothing, Kelly Ndlovu, said their goal was to tell a Zimbabwean story through fashion.
“Bantu clothing is a fashion brand that has been there for the past two years and our goal is to promote the different cultures through fashion.
Our main inspiration is in ensuring that all ethnic groups in the country are represented through fashion and this is because we want to show cultural diversity and ensure that all groups in the country are celebrated,” said Ndlovu.
Ndlovu said they have a range of products that cater for men and women.
“Our clothing range is not limited to any gender, we have a number of clothing products for men, women and even for children.
We are at the ZITF because we want to export culture, through fashion and as the theme says “Innovation, the catalyst for industrialisation and trade”, we want to show the different people from all over the world our different cultural products,” she said.
Ndlovu added that they see their brand growing to greater heights in the years to come.
“In the years to come, we believe that we will be selling a number of products all over the country and globally. We are grateful to ZimTrade for the opportunity to trade with other brands,” she said.
