INTERNATIONALLY acclaimed Barcelos restaurant is set to open two more outlets in Zimbabwe as the business spreads its wings locally.
In August this year, the South African restaurant chain, which is best known for its casual dining and flame grilled peri peri chicken, opened its first branch in Bulawayo.
Company director Benson Muneri said they were now eyeing Harare and will be opening two stores there before the festive season.
“Two stores have been earmarked and signed off for Harare Central Business District and are set to open before the festive season. We see Harare as the ultimate pronouncement of our arrival in Zimbabwe,” Muneri said.
He commended the Bulawayo community for supporting them saying business has been doing well here.
“We’ve been well received by the Bulawayo people. Most of them were already accustomed to the brand from South Africa and highly appreciate the best peri peri chicken being at their doorstep now.”
From Harare, Muneri said they are looking at opening six stores in the country in the next 12 months adding that customers in Harare must brace themselves for the best looking restaurants.
“We’d like to promise our Harare clientele the best flame grilled chicken in town. They must expect the best looking stores with an awesome look and feel that is going to be cherished by many.”
