MPUMALANGA Black Aces head coach Clive Barker has revealed that they are involved in long term contract talks with striker Tendai Ndoro. He is confident that the player will stay put at the club. “Since December management has been busy with those negotiations which look promising and as the team coach I would love to work with the Zimbabwean for more seasons to come.
“He has showed great qualities ever since he started playing for us last season. Ndoro is a striker who can change the outcome and complexion of the game,” said Barker.
The former Bafana Bafana coach said Ndoro and his other two countrymen Energy Murambadoro and Tinashe Nengomasha had all returned from the festive break.
“They’re working very hard with the rest of the squad as we prepare for the second half of the season which resumes in early February after the African Cup of Nations finals,” Barker said.
Ndoro, who is respected at Aces, joined the Mpumalanga based side in January last year in a deal worth approximately $80,000 from Bulawayo side Chicken Inn FC.
Barker said that the Warriors striker had signed a 30-month contract which has an option for an extension.
Towards the end of last year there were rumours that Soweto giants Orlando Pirates were after his services.
Aces started their mid-season training last week.
