FOUNDING Inline Academy Football Club director Trust Kwembeya believes Sithethelelwe ‘Kwinji 15’ Sibanda could rise to be one of the top coaches in the country. Sibanda quit the women’s football club last week to join Tsholotsho Pirates who are making their Premiership debut this year. She is also the national women’s Under-20 side coach. Sibanda had a colourful career with New Orleans as a player before rising to coach Inline Academy where she was head coach.
“We’re happy as a club that a coach can rise from our club to men’s football. She’s with a Premiership side and that’s no mean achievement and we wish her well.
“She has the potential to be an even better coach because she’s a good listener and learner. We benefited a lot from her stay with us and we wish her all the best,” said Kwembeya yesterday.
The veteran administrator said his club was ever willing to let its personnel go for better challenges.
“Remember we’ve previously allowed our players like Rudo Neshamba to play outside the country. That goes to motivate other girls that there’s a future for them in sport,” he said.
“Kwinj 15” is an assistant coach to Lizwe Sweswe and holds a Caf A licence badge making her one of the most qualified coaches in the land.
