3 to 6, and will feature music from a wide range of musical genres and performers, from Dolly Parton and Johnny Cash to Adele and Lady Antebellum and from The Eagles and Simon and Garfunkel to Shania Twain and Cat Stevens.
This will be the latest Barnyard Theatre production to feature in Harare and will run at Twin Rivers School Hall in Belgravia, arranged again by Minky Walters of DAE, who has masterminded Barnyard’s local appearances since inception five years ago.
“What is most exciting about this show is that Samantha Tirivacho is a key performer and we are all delighted to see her back in front of Harare audiences, especially as she now has a year or so of experience in South Africa.
“She now has a very competitive music scene to her credit,” she said.
Samantha started her musical career in Harare and appeared in a number of musical productions at Reps Theatre and at the Rainbow 7 Arts, and she was a top 10 finalist in M-Net’s Idols show on DStv several years ago.
She crossed the Limpopo in 2010 hoping to gain entry into the SA music scene and she has now performed in several Barnyard shows, earning distinction for herself and her unique singing style.
Ms Walters said bookings for the Moon Shadows Harare run were going well and she expected the usual sold-out houses by the time the first performance starts this Wednesday.
She expressed gratitude to British Airways operated by Comair for supporting the local arts and entertainment scene by bringing in the performers for Moon Shadows and called on Harare audiences to provide a strong measure of support for Samantha.
