BCC praises Government policies

THE Bulawayo City Council has expressed unwavering gratitude to the government for granting Ingwebu Breweries special procurement dispensation.

Speaking after a ministerial tour of Ingwebu Breweries plant in Bulawayo, City Chamber Secretary, Mrs Sikhangele Zhou said that government policies of creating an enabling business environment are greatly assisting Ingwebu

“Ingwebu is retooling under tough conditions against private firms. However, we are grateful to the government in that Ingwebu has a special procurement dispensation. We are grateful for that,” she said.

She said Ingwebu Breweries requires huge capital to procure modern equipment to enable it to fully compete with private players.

Mrs Zhou said council values Ingwebu Breweries, saying, “We hold Ingwebu Breweries dearly,” and stressing its strategic importance in the growth of the city.
