Zanu-PF’s Masvingo provincial chairman Cde Ezra Chadzamira has urged party supporters to go to polling stations early to avoid congestion during harmonised elections slated for next Monday.
In an interview yesterday, he said all registered voters should ensure that they have their identity documents to avoid inconveniences on the day of voting.
“We urge our members in all wards to wake-up early and head to the different polling stations on elections day,” said Cde Chadzamira.
He said Zanu-PF would romp to victory in all the province’s 26 constituencies.
Cde Chadzamira said the party’s supporters should prioritise voting ahead of any other activities planned for Monday next week.
“We are left with five days to elect our councillors, parliamentarians and President Mnangagwa. In that same vein, we urge our members to make sure that their identity documents are in safe places since they are a key requirement at the polling stations.
“Victory is certain in all the 26 constituencies. The party’s candidates are busy on the ground canvassing for votes. We are satisfied with the level of campaigning and that everything is being done under a peaceful environment,” he said.
Cde Chadzamira said Zimbabweans must continue observing and maintaining peace during the election period.
He said they were happy that all the polling stations were accessible and expected every voter to reach them without encountering any huddles.
He said Zanu-PF had fielded candidates in the local government and parliamentary constituencies in Masvingo province where they will square off with MDC Alliance, National Constitutional Assembly, PRC and several independents.
“A lot of our party members registered to vote in the harmonised elections and chances are high that we get at least 70 percent of the total votes,” he said.
