Beatrice man acquitted of rape

Emmanuel Zvinongwi (26) denied the charges before magistrate Mr Temba Kuwanda.
In his defence, he stated that his girlfriend wanted to withdraw the rape allegations, but her sister influenced her.
He said the girlfriend had consented to be intimate with him.
Magistrate Kuwanda noted that the two fell in love last year and agreed to meet at a bushy area where they became intimate.
