Bees sting man to death

IN a tragic incident an elderly man from Mafanisa line in Ntabazinduna, Matabeleland North province was stung to death by bees on Wednesday last week.

Speaking to B-Metro, the family spokesperson Tholakele Ndelesi recounted how her father Luke Ndelesi was stung to death by bees.

a�?It was on Wednesday last week at around 7pm when my father went to collect animal skin hide from the kraal.

Sadly when he got there, he found that the animal skin hide had bees inside. They attacked him and he fell unconscious,a�? said Tholakele.

They rushed him to a clinic but his condition got worse.

Seeing that he was not getting better they had to transfer him to Mpilo Central Hospital.

a�?He died two days after admission. He had a swollen body and was failing to eat,a�? she said.

She described her father as a humble and loving man.

Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Precious Simango confirmed the incident.

a�?We received a report of sudden death of a man from Ntabazinduna and we are still waiting for the post-mortem,a�?she said.
