Award winning model Bernard Ndlovu, also known as Ben Chest, was crowned the inaugural Mister Zimbabwe and brand ambassador at an event hosted by Dreams Nightlife, a posh nightclub in Harare last Saturday.

“It was a tough contest, I’m proud to have come out as king and brand ambassador,” said Ben Chest.

The elated model, who was also crowned the Best Male Model at the Bulawayo Arts Awards in 2019, said he was honoured to be the first face of Mister Zimbabwe.

“This is the first of its kind, usually its awards, but this time we had to battle it out on a formal pageant which saw male models from across the country coming together at a common ramp,” he said.

Before the event, few gave Ben Chest a chance to win the pageantry as he was ranked sixth out of 24 models, after 580 voted online for their preferred male model. However, the famous model proved too good for his rivals on the ramp.

Ben Chest rose to stardom as he dazzled in 2019, thanks to being featured in Jah Prayzah’s Sadza Nemuriwo video.
