Renowned male model and award-winning actor, Ben Chest (real name Bernard Ndlovu), is effortlessly cruising into a busy year with his latest lead role in an upcoming drama series, “Inkaba”, showcasing his versatility and setting the tone for what promises to be an exciting period ahead.

This follows a challenging 2023 for him, marked by public scrutiny due to private images surfacing on his WhatsApp status and navigating the repercussions of the adverse effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“2023 was a bit of a tough year because we were just trying to recover from the effects of the Covid-19 lockdown but now, we’re past that. There are no boundaries. We’re aiming for the gold and striving to produce top-notch content that could even make its way onto platforms like Netflix.

“Our goal is to grow and expand, dedicating our time and effort to every project,” Ben Chest said.

“In life, when you invest time and effort into your craft, success is inevitable, and the results are bound to be A-class rather than subpar,” he added.

Directed by John Mabuyane and the cinematographer being Dumi Manyathela, “Inkaba” sees battle lines being drawn in a family because of a problem child born out of wedlock. In the film, Ben Chest plays the character of “Nkosi”.

“Inkaba” will be ready to hit the screens in four months and will probably air on DStv.

In the past, Ben Chest has been involved in “Scars” (Amanxeba), “Dlala Ngamla”, and “Soulmates”.

Known as “Umhlangabezi Wodumo”, Ben Chest has carved a unique niche for himself as a celebrity escort, extending a warm welcome to various celebrities visiting Zimbabwe.

His accolades include over 20 modelling awards in Zimbabwe, with the prestigious title of Mr Zimbabwe among his achievements. —@MbuleloMpofu
