Goal Diggerz has roped one of Africa’s most legendary footballers, Benni McCarthy, to host the third instalment of the series which premieres Wednesday, June 11 at 1930 hours on DStv’s Vuzu
As one of the most accomplished footballers to emerge from the continent, having played in some of Europe’s biggest leagues for 14 years, Benni is the perfect candidate to take viewers on a journey through the glamorous lives of African football players plying their trade abroad. Benni has enjoyed an illustrious playing career, most notably winning a UEFA Champions League medal in 2004 with Portuguese club FC Porto, while his swansong season in professional football saw him claim all domestic titles with the famed Orlando Pirates FC. Benni is the epitome of the ultimate Goal Digger, he has scored more than 150 goals throughout his professional career, owns numerous high end properties all over the world including a Castle in Edinburgh Scotland, has numerous luxury vehicles and recently married the gorgeous model Stacey Munro. He also has some musical talents as well, how can we forget his feature on the classic TKZEE hit “Shibobo”.

The third season of Goal Diggerz will see Benni visit the players such as Crystal Palace based Kagiso Dikgacoi, Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama, former Orlando Pirates star Andile Jali and French international defender Pascal Chimbonda where he will show us how these players live the “ballin life”.
