Bentley maintains Marange Pro-Am lead

Brooke, had a decent first round of two-under-par 70 when the tournament teed off. He will go into the final round leading the 46-member professional golfers’ field chasing the US$30 000 purse.
Missing a 30 foot birdie put on hole number 13, Bentley maintained his composure to remain in control as the tournament goes into the final round this morning.
Now under the guidance of Warrick Drauign in Cape Town, South Africa, the 25-year-old who graduated to the professional ranks last year remains the favourite to win the inaugural tournament and is focused as he goes into today’s final final round.
“It is good to be leading and I am happy with my performance. Today, I will just go out and focus on the game and enjoy as much,” Bentley said.
“I have been working on my swing and hopefully it is now paying off. I worked hard everyday and I am not looking on the leaderboard very much.
“I am not feeling under pressure and I will put my head down and take every shot as it comes,” Bentley said.
Mohamed Mandhu was trailing by four shots after carding 71 and 70 on a very competitive day. Seasoned campaigner Brian Gondo was tied with Micky Hough and last year order of merit winner Ignatius Mketekete on level par.
Mketekete was on a great comeback as usual as he had a good second round of 69 after a first round of 75. Vengesai “V6” Phiri was on fifth after scoring 71 and 74.
The Hillside course was accorded a par 72 course rate only for this tournament after the par five hole number 12 was given a par four status.
