A last-minute goal by in-form Berita Kabwe rescued championship contenders Tenax Queens from the jaws of defeat against 12th placed Hwange Ladies in the National Super League match which ended in a 2-2 draw in Hwange last week.
The Mighty Warriors trialist struck home the equaliser to break the hearts of the hosts, who thought they had bagged maximum points.
Tenax were nearly punished but Kabwe emerged the hero with her priceless equaliser.
Tenax’s other goal came from former captain Millicent Chagumachinyi.
Chagumachinyi, who has been with Tenax since it was playing in the first division, scored the opener in the 5th minute after receiving a well-taken corner from Berita Kabwe.
Hwange found the equaliser in the 15th minute. Twenty-three minutes latter Hwange took a lead before Kabwe dribbled past three defenders after receiving a brilliant pass from Maria Lifa and fired home the equaliser in the 78th minute.
Tenax Queens is on 3rd position from 6 starts .Queens are yet to taste any defeat as they have 2 wins and 4 draws.
They have managed to gather 10 points so far.
In other matches played second placed Flame Lilly were hammered 0-2 by Black Rhinos while Cyclone Queens beat ZRP Harare 3-1.Struggling and bottom place Aces Academy were handed 0-3 defeat by 7th placed Conduit while log leaders Auckland extended their lead by edging Cyclone 1-0.
