In a thrilling conclusion to a season filled with fierce competition, Bet247, one of Zimbabwe’s rapidly expanding betting houses, recognised the champions of its inaugural English Premier League (EPL) Fantasy League on Saturday at their Harare offices.
The excitement surrounding the competition was palpable, with participants showcasing their managerial prowess, building squads and navigating the highs and lows characteristic of the EPL. Bet247’s commitment to enhancing engaging gaming experiences was reflected in the robust participation and enthusiastic response from the community.
With a total prize pool of US$1,750 on offer, competition was fierce among the contenders. The wealth was distributed among the top three winners, with the champion taking home an impressive US$1,000. The runner-up enjoyed a rewarding US$500, while third place received US$250.
The spotlight fell on Hansen Bvumai, who demonstrated remarkable skill and strategic insight by accumulating an astonishing total of 2,561 points, finishing a noteworthy 43 points ahead of second-place Marshall Mudzudzu.
Mudzudzu, who scored 2,518 points, expressed his delight at being recognised at the top of the exciting competition. Harrison Sibanda claimed the third spot with a total of 2,471 points.
Mudzudzu was able to attend the prize-giving ceremony, his enthusiasm for both the achievement and the competition as a whole resonated strongly.
“I am delighted to be one of the winners of the Bet247 Fantasy League competition
This is my first time winning such a huge prize amounting to US$500 in Fantasy League.
“I want to encourage others to join this year. It costs nothing, just data on your phone, and you can end up winning big like this.
“For me, this time around, I am aiming for the top spot after finishing number 2 last season,” he said.
Bet247 manager Tafadzwa Mukumbi took the opportunity to reflect on the resounding success of the Fantasy League competition.
“The competition began at the start of the 2024/2025 season and ran throughout.
“There was some exciting and tough competition, and in the end, only the top three walked away with the prizes,” said Mukumbi.
