Running under the theme, ‘Offload your burden’ the event which will take place at the Lions Club, will tackle issues that include bereavement, depression, rejection, legal matters, pain and financial problems among others.
The event will be hosted by Dr Reverend Abigail Magwenzi of the Red Lipstick Revolution, who is a mentor and life coach.
Other lined up speakers are Pinnacle Grace Church Senior Pastor, Pastor Bruce Chitsungo, legal practitioner Ropafadzo Munemo, clinical psychologist and family therapist Dr Julia Mutambara and live on Zoom from the United States of America, the author of the Accelerator to a Life of Purpose book Melody Kashuma.
Relievers Funeral Services sales and marketing director and one of the event organisers Mr Kudakwashe Mashero said the event is meant to console people who have lost their loved ones.
“We are doing an event which is more like a session meant to console people who have lost their loved ones before or who still hold on to that loss and they feel they just need to let it go or something like that.
“The main purpose of the event is to take people through a process of getting to be relieved of the aspect of not letting go of a loved one they lost and some have a number of burdens which they carry around every day,” said Mr Mashero.
He also noted that some people might be suffering from the aspect of pain because they could have been in a situation before where they were abused and they still hold on to that.
He noted that the Relievers Funeral Services which is the organisation supporting the event was also offering free counselling service to people who would have been bereaved or lost their loved ones.
