Union for Development for Apostolic Churches in Zmbabwe Africa health programme officer, Mr Chamylious Machingura, said they were training apostolic members in various areas.
He was speaking at a workshop held by UDACIZA that sought to enlighten apostolic members on how they could improve their lives.
“We are training members in home-based care courses to fight the negative perception about apostolic sects,” said Mr Machingura.
“We also want to bring a paradigm shift in terms of medical treatment access for apostolic sects.”
Mr Machingura said his organisation assisted its members who are HIV and Aids patients through forming support groups.
UDACIZA has also initiated programmes to improve household incomes for the apostolic sects members.
“There are soap-making projects and the internal lending and saving scheme has proved to be a success,” said Mr Machingura.
