AFTER spending 56 days in the Big Brother Mzansi (BBM) house, two Housemates’ lives will be changed tomorrow when they walk out with R2 million for being voted South Africa’s most entertaining pair. The winning couple will be announced tomorrow during a 90-minute finale show from 8PM on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161). But, the big question on BBM audiences’ minds is which of the three remaining couples: long time sweethearts — Ace and Ntombi, the Royal couple of Blue and K2 or the girl power duo Chelsea and Mbali will win the grand prize.
But one thing fans of the reality show can be certain of is that tomorrow night’s finale will be jam-packed with talent as some of South Africa’s leading musicians have been confirmed to star on the Big Brother stage. The star-studded line-up includes: DJ Dimplez featuring Dream Team; Dnyts featuring Zinhle; Aka featuring Jr and Da Lez. Also in the spotlight tomorrow will be Busiswa.
While tomorrow night’s show is set to deliver drama, excitement and massive good fortune, the entire weekend is jam-packed with action.
Yesterday, Big Brother hosted a Masquerade Party for the remaining housemates instead of the usual Friday Night Games. Some of South Africa’s leading TV personalities, Zabalaza’s Zolisa Xaluva and Matli Mohapeloa; Isibaya’s Nomzamo Mbatha, Andile Mxakaza and Mdu Gumede as well as Clash Of The Choirs Season 2 choirmaster Moneoa Moshesh joined them for the magical night.
Tonight, the weekly Shap Shap party will include some very familiar faces as some of last year’s Big Brother Mzansi Secrets Housemates will head into the BBM House to meet, greet and dance with the top three pairs. Last year’s BBM winner Mandla and his lady love Lexi will also be making an appearance.
This year’s show which was dubbed Double Trouble was a roller coaster ride which began with 20 housemates. There was so much drama, laughter and of course, tears. Last Sunday, one couple — Soxx and Tembi — narrowly missed their chance of walking away with the R2 million grand prize as they were evicted — a week before the finale.
This past week saw the six remaining Housemates put their hands to work for charity — as they made dozens of sandwiches for a charity organisation feeding the underprivileged. The Housemates also spent time this past week picking out some of their own favourite items and gift wrapping them so they could be given to their super-fans who have been interacting with the popular show online.
But now, with just a day to go before the show comes to an end, it is now all about votes. Voting to decide the winning pair of Big Brother Mzansi: Double Trouble is ongoing and will close at 6AM tomorrow.
