Mamelodi Sundowns star Khama Billiat gave credit to coach Pitso Mosimane and his technical team for the club’s Absa Premiership triumph.
Sundowns clinched honours with an emphatic 3-0 demolition of struggling neighbours University of Pretoria at Tuks Stadium on Wednesday night.
Billiat was in typically fine form, setting up two goals for hat-trick hero Anthony Laffor.
“We have shown a lot of character throughout the season. Credit to our coaches whom are vastly experienced,” said the frontrunner for the Kick Off Footballer of the Season award.
Laffor insists the Brazilians, who also lifted the Telkom Knockout trophy in December, knew they had the quality to achieve.
“We knew what we wanted, we have always known what we can achieve,” said the Man of the Match.
Downs have won the league a record seven times since the PSL’s inception in 1996 /97.
Last season’s champions Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are next best with four titles apiece. a Online .
