THE Chase evictee housemates Bimp and Angelo Collins have expressed their love for Zimbabwe. The duo, who were evicted last Sunday, said it was their dream to visit the country. Speaking in a telephone interview with Herald Entertainment, Ethiopian Bimp said he wanted to meet President Mugabe and learn about Zimbabwean cultures.
“During my stay in the Big Brother house, I used to chat with Hakeem who told me a lot about Zimbabwe. I had questions about that country as foreign media had said much about it both negative and positive. I have heard about President Mugabe, how intelligent he is and his principles and it would be my pleasure to meet him. Hakeem told me about various cultures and traditions practised in the country and how free it was,” he said.
Bimp (23) said it was his desire to experience the Zimbabwean lifestyle.
On the other hand, South African evictee Angelo said he was planning on starting a reality show based on African youths.
“I want to start a reality show on promoting the youths by inspiring them to chase their dreams and to use opportunity wisely. I want to tour Africa and can’t wait to be in Zimbabwe because I have heard a lot about the country and its rich cultures,” he said.
A dancer by profession. Angelo said he wanted to learn different dances practised in Zimbabwe.
“I want to have workshops on dancing how it can be a career and for Zimbabwe it would be a dream come true having a feel of the different dances showcased in that country,” he said.
However, the two said they don’t regret entering BBA and were not bitter at being evicted.
Just like other evicted members, Bimp and Angelo said they had no strategy but were just acting normal.
“I am humble and I entered BBA as me, nothing changed and you will see if I manage to come to Zimbabwe. I am still the Bimp you saw on television even it means I am not invited to come, one day will find my way there whether by road or air but I promise I will be there,” explained Bimp.
The Ethiopian describes himself as “honest, loyal, dependable and responsible”.
Meanwhile, Angelo has dismissed rumours circulating on social networks that he had sex with Nigerian housemate Beverly Osu.
“I never had sex with Beverly though we are so deeply in love. I understand where it originated thus during the bath tub scene. I had my boxer on and we just cuddled, kissing and touching, you know. I vowed to my ill mother that I won’t do immoral things and I am safely happy to say I did her proud,” he said.
The 36-year-old said he is waiting for Beverly.
“Our love was real and it depends with her when she leaves the BBA. We will decide when she comes out on Sunday,” he said.
Bimp and Angelo were the 21st and 22nd housemates to leave the reality show dubbed The Chase.
The show ends this Sunday and among the last last five housemates, are Zambian beauty Cleo, Nigerian duo Melvin and Beverly, vivacious and beauty Namibian Dillish and Elikem from Ghana who has been winning the HOH.
Luckily for him it precipitated his stay.
Viewers are already wondering on who will walk away US$300 000 richer this year.
