A Cowdray Park woman will live to curse the day she fell in love with her ex-boyfriend as he threatened to kill her for loving another man before spoiling her Valentinea��s Day by raping her.
The man, Crispen Mugande (43), reportedly raped his 22-year-old ex-girlfriend after he found her in bed with her newly found love.
It is reported that Mugande had gone to the womana��s place to demand his $6 which he had given to her during their happier times.
Unfortunately, jealousy took its toll when he found the woman in bed with another man and he beat his rival before raping his ex-girlfriend once. Mugande was hauled before magistrate Abednico Ndebele facing a rape charge.
The court heard that on 14 February at around 3AM, Mugande arrived at the womana��s place demanding his $6 which he had given her to buy lotion during their love days.
He found her in bed with her new love.
Mugande demanded his money and the womana��s boyfriend gave Mugande $3 before the complainant gave her another $3 to make it $6.
For reasons best known to him, Mugande assaulted the complainanta��s boyfriend forcing him to run away which gave him the opportunity to remain only with the complainant.
He then produced an okapi knife and threatened to stab her for falling in love with another man. As if that was not enough, he ordered her to follow her instructions or risk being killed by him if she declined.
Mugande then undressed before stripping the woman naked as well.
He forcibly had sex with the complainant once without using protection.
After the incident, the complainant reported the matter to police and she was referred to hospital for a medical examination.
Mugande was remanded in custody to 1 March and was advised to seek consent from the prosecutor general to be granted a bail hearing.
