IT appears anyone can make money with anything these days!
All along, who knew that one day some unscrupulous law enforcers will make money out of fingerprints.
Yes, you heard me right, fingerprints, of all the things that you can imagine.
Anyway, this is a story for another day.
In the Bible, Jesus is quoted saying: “I tell you, there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over 99 righteous persons who need no repentance”.
In equal measure, Blabber is in high spirits over the rejuvenation and change of behaviour by this other youthful brother who managed to overcome drug addiction.
Blabber will not delve into his identity nor his former workplace, where banking transactions are the core business.
Neither will Yours Truly go deeper about how he has gained weight in a short space of time.
To be honest, Yours Truly is happy for him and his family.
May the good Lord continue working wonders in his life and in the lives of many others struggling to quit drug addiction!
To this end, Blabber will move on to this other shocking fairy tale like account of how a certain woman laughed like a hyena, all night, while admitted at a local private hospital.
Whatever the ailment she had, the lady was admitted at this other popular private hospital in the downtown area since last week into the weekend.
Word reaching Blabber is that the lady, all of a sudden, started laughing like a hyena, much to the surprise of workers and fellow patients at the hospital.
In fact, this lady, whose identity will be deliberately kept a secret, at least for now, spent the whole night laughing like a hyena to the extent that the other lady in the same ward with her requested an immediate discharge.
She was scared and could not withstand another minute at this hospital.
Knowing hyenas and what they represent in our African tradition, Blabber is not wrong in assuming that the sounds that this lady made in the dead of the night had nothing to do with pain.
The long and short of it is that people should know where to get help when in pain.
Hospitals can only work on scientifically proven ailments, and being Africans, we all know where sinister or bizarre ailments can be treated.
There is really no prize for guessing the reason behind such sounds in the dead of the night. Put simply, your guess is as good as mine!
