BLABBERMOUTH: No wonder our businesses do not grow!

WHAT is this we are hearing about a local car import company allegedly duping its clients — stripping vital components from engines before delivery, fully aware the vehicles will begin breaking down within months.
For years, we have admired established international brands and wondered why our own enterprises struggle to reach that level of trust and longevity.
Now, Blabber begins to see the cracks: too many of our businesses are built on shortcuts and deception, which is why they rarely survive beyond a single generation — and in some cases collapse before the owner even turns fifty.
It is either my dear brothers date their employees or the locally owned companies are not ethical in their approach to business.
Yours Truly will deal with the latter, at least for this week, and move on to the former in the near future.
It is sad that some of our dear brothers did well to establish companies that made a name on the local market and gained a good client base all because of hard and honest work.
Blabber was actually happy to see the company name inscribed on newly imported cars’ number plates as this was a clear sign of booming business. But somewhere along the line, they started prioritising profits over client satisfaction, and that is where the problem started.
This is the story with this other local car import company.
The name of this company is similar or reminiscent of the word people utter when answering messages on a walkie-talkie wireless communicator.
The word means the other person has well understood the message conveyed.
For the benefit of those who may have failed to capture the culprit in their minds, put differently, the name of the company is also reminiscent of this other deceased yesteryear American singer-songwriter, who was particularly popular with country music audiences.
Word reaching Yours Truly is that the main man behind the company is now removing some major parts on imported vehicles, replace them with some old second hand parts and pass on the vehicle to an unsuspecting and ecstatic client.
Only after a few months, the car starts giving the owner different problems that are not typical of a new car recently imported.
Such is the love for an extra dollar that has gripped our dear brother and sacrificing the good name that he had built for his business all because of the love for maximising income.
Blabber might go and on about the shady deals that this car import company is doing, even to the extent of mentioning the mechanic who is being used in this whole act of cruelty, but being an elder in the community, Yours Truly only wants this boy to start doing things the way he used to.
As we dig deeper on this other broke diamond dealer who was recently evicted from the house he had partially bought and failed to pay the outstanding amount, Blabber, being an elder in our community, will give this boy a chance to repent, start doing the right thing and desist from duping clients in this cruel manner.
I rest my case!
