HERENTALS have opted to fulfil their match against Black Rhinos in a Northern Region Division One top-of-the-table clash scheduled for One Commando this afternoon. The second-placed team, trailing Rhinos by 15 points, had earlier on threatened not to visit their opponents. Herentals coach Kumbirai Mutiwekuziva confirmed they will fulfil their fixture against Rhinos today and were ready for the encounter.
“We are looking forward to the match and it is an important match as it can be viewed as a title decider somehow. “We will miss the services of Gift Saunyama, but I have equally good replacements so we hope to collect maximum points tomorrow (today). “A win for us will be a morale-booster for the boys and we hope to do so,” Mutiwekuziva said.
Chauya Chipembere coach Stanford “Stix” Mtizwa said today’s game was a must-win match for his soldiers. “We want to complete a double over them . . . They have been a threat to us from the beginning of the season so this is the time for a reality check.
“We are geared up and we will not leave anything to chance and we have been scoring goals. “The game will be tough, but we have all the players in good shape and they are ready for the fixture. This is one game which we cannot afford to lose so we will fight until the end,” Mtizwa said.
