BLACK Rhinos Queens Juniors have etched themselves in the Northern Region Division One league after winning the championship for a record extending 10th time.
The young queens will however continue to play in the second tier as they have decided against promotion for the umpteenth time since they have another team Black Rhinos Queens (Snrs) already in the elite section.
Instead, Ngezi Platinum Queens who were second in the league will take the ticket to the Premiership.
The Junior Queens were crowned at a ceremony held at Headquarters 2 Brigade last week.

Lieutenant Colonel Allen Chagonda congratulated them and encouraged them to keep on working hard.
“I am happy with your performance as well as reclaiming your position always in the Northern Region Division One.
“I urge you, as young players to desist from drugs and maintain good discipline and reputation, as this is the most essential thing to do that will open more gates for you,” said Lt Col Chagonda.
Former Mighty Warriors player, Rosemary Mugadza applauded the junior team for their hard work and for uplifting women soccer.
She emphasized the importance of football in shaping the players’ lives.
“I also encourage the team to play football as a way to stay focused and avoid distractions, setting a positive example for their families, society and institution.
“As young girls, please shun from having love affairs with your coaches and avoid indecent acts. Maintain professionalism.
“Again, being a football player should not limit your educational inspirations but you can pursue both passions simultaneously,” said Mugadza.
Black Rhinos Queens Juniors assistant coach Dorothy Mugari hailed her charges.
“As Black Rhinos Queens Juniors, we are delighted with the achievements that we have obtained during this season and even our previous seasons.
“Our junior team has made history in the Northern Region and also clinching an impressive four trophies in a row. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the dedication, hard work and resilience of our players, technical, executive and supporting staff.
“We are very happy with our success,” said Mugari.
