Blaq Diamond dates Harare

SOUTH African Afro-pop duo, Blaq Diamond, will this Friday get a chance to thrill their fans in Harare with a once-off show slated for Pabloz VIP Lounge in Borrowdale.

The award-winning duo of Ndumiso Mdletshe and Sphelele Dunywa recently performed in Bulawayo and they did not disappoint.

They dazzled fans beyond measure.

Blaq Diamond has for long wanted to stage performances in Zimbabwe.

The duo is renowned for their polished stage work, which saw them scoop the Best Male Southern Africa award at the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) last year.

They will be supported by resident wheel-spinners DJ Juice, DJ Am and DJ Selekta Base.

Blaq Diamond is famed for their hits such as “Summer Yomuthi”, “Love Letter”, “Memeza”, “Woza My Love” and “Sthandwa”.

2 Kings Entertainment, organisers of the show dubbed “One Night Experience”, said this is a must-attend gig.

“This is not an ordinary music outfit. They are known for their pulsating performance, hence we are encouraging fans to come out in their numbers on March 18 to witness the ‘One Night Experience with Blaq Diamond’ gig. They will be performing for the first time in Harare,” said 2 Kings co-founder Dee Nosh.

“Pabloz has hosted a good number of International acts lately and we strongly believe this will be a good outing. The club is without doubt one of the best, if not the best, Zimbabwean spot for high profile shows with the conducive environment.”

Dee Nosh said since we are just coming from the month of love (February), Blaq Diamond will be visiting our shores to remind us to always love each other.

“They performed in Bulawayo a couple of weeks back and they brought the house down. They are doing well in South Africa and the sub-region, which has prompted us to bring them to Harare,” he added.

“Their fellow countrymen like DJ Maphorisa and Major League DJz have also performed in the capital.”

Dee Nosh said the KwaZulu Natal bred duo was eager to come to Harare.

Similarly, he highlighted that everything was now in place and they were ready to host the event on March 18.

“We are simply doing ordinary and VIP where you are supposed to book a table at Pabloz VIP Lounge,” he said.

Meanwhile, Dee Nosh said the relaxed Covid-19 regulations have breathed life into the creative sector following a two-year break.

He said 2 Kings Entertainment will be bringing in a number of international acts this year. “It was a difficult two years for us in the arts sector due to the Covid-19 induced lockdown. However, we are happy to be back in the game. We continue to comply with all Covid-19 protocols as we host our events,” said Dee Nosh.

“As the situation continues to improve, we will bring in more foreign acts. We have since engaged a good number of them. Dates and names will be made public in due course. Our main objective is to deliver world-class entertainment for revellers.”
