GOSPEL music supremo, Blessing Shumba is next month set to release a new album, hardly a year after unleashing arguably his best ever project, Holy Psalms Volume One, The Weekender Entertainment has learnt.
Shumba said the album would be titled Holy Psalms Volume Two, but could not be drawn into divulging the name of the producer he is working with for professional reasons. This will be Shumba’s fifth album after Ishe wazvose, NdiMwari, Shongwe and Holy Psalms Volume One.
“We have an avalanche of unreleased songs. We are in the gospel music industry to preach the word of God and uplift souls through our music. We actually have quite a number of songs we have not released to our listeners so we feel we need to dish out some new stuff as we aim to bless souls and spread the message.
“We have finished recording most of the songs on the new album and it is likely to be released anytime after end of this month,” said the talented and multi-award winning musician. Tracks which the talented artiste said would be certainly carried on the album are Step by step, Zvapera, Mukuru ndiani? and Takura Muchinjikwa.
“Those tracks will certainly be on the new album. My first ever English song, Step by Step will shock most of my fans because it is unique and dynamic. Glory be to God,” added Shumba who could not shed more light on what else his fans should expect.
