THERE was never a time when a lie even when regurgitated would ever be the truth; definitely it will remain such, a lie.
This fact should awaken one daily whose specialty is misinformation and outright lies which stinks to high heaven. Given that I am a man of faith, certainly what is unfolding in some of the newsrooms constitute the real devil’s work which even Satan himself would frown upon. With such gutter journalism, media ethics have indeed gone to the dogs.
The headline story on July 13, 2015 in one of these daily papers: “Anger against Mugabe grows” is a typical case of irresponsible journalism which borders on irrationality and certain insanity.
To suggest that the said journalist was drunk is taking the issue lightly for such kind of reportage depicts how some people would love our morals and ethics to sink.
It is just total madness.
In any right thinking person, how a person who was popularly elected just some few months back with an outright majority suddenly becomes such a villain. The claim that President Mugabe and the revolutionary party, Zanu-PF have lost any perceived support because of the missing Itai Dzamara does not hold water.
Zanu-PF is the people’s choice and it remains and shall be the dominant force of the political landscape in the country in the future.
As much as I commiserated with the pathetic levels of journalism which have become the order of the day within this daily newspaper, I could not hold my laughter in that same story when I read an interesting comment in that same story from one Jacob Mafume who excitedly displayed his yawning ignorance by suggesting that the revolutionary party, Zanu-PF will lose the harmonised 2018 general elections.
Mafume should wake up to reality and smell this pervading reality that Zanu-PF is simply loved by Zimbabweans. It is the party which ushered independence when the then youthful cadres sacrificed their lives to liberate the country. It is the party which has enacted legislation and made concrete moves to empower the people.
It has consolidated the empowerment crusade hence such empathy and authentic identification with the masses has always been Zanu-PF’s trump card .With such massive and incredible support in the voting population who are the youth, Zanu-PF is the party for posterity.
Mafume and his bunch of clowns, some who are political spent forces and some who are mental patients should continue to daydream while they wait for their waterloo moment.
A heavy political clobbering awaits them as the reinvigorated and rejuvenated Zanu-PF will as usual outclass its political enemies with aplomb.
It is not worth to even debate with failed lawyers such as Mafume and company, personalities who are part to an ever disintegrating party which was home not so long ago to the confused called Elton Mangoma who has made headlines for alleged love scandals.
Has anyone ever heard of one good legal case which Mafume has ever won in a court? Other than being a serial liar, Mafume has no other merit to his sleeve. Tendai Biti and company should find a solution to this fellow, otherwise their already collapsed so-called political non-entity would add another feather to its already comic script.
Recent popular ratings by the globally acclaimed Afrobarometer had the usual palatable story which rated President Mugabe as the most popular leader whom the people love and adore.
President Mugabe is their own choice if elections were to be held anytime, a firm confirmation that his policies resonate with the people’s needs and aspirations. Then any normal person who would have seen such a screaming and alarming headline would want to understand the insinuations of such a headline. Here is the explanation which I will offer for free.
The populace of Zimbabwe has no anger, but expectations which are normal in a thriving democracy such as ours. It is the West which harbours ulterior motives who are frothing in anger over their project, through the various Movement for Democratic Change(s) who have dismally failed to effect the much vaunted for regime change. The West has permanent interests and never permanent friends. It is the West’s failure to access and plunder abundant Zimbabwean natural resources which has ignited their anger. So their local proxies represented by the Morgan Tsvangirai-led MDCs and the other various outfits regularly issue reckless statements which are out of sync with reality just for their supper.
Any sane mind will recall that Zanu-PF humiliated all political outfits who dared compete with it in the recent mini-general election which was held. The turnout was overwhelming with the much hyped Hurungwe West being effortlessly clinched by Zanu-PF.
Unless Mafume and his concubines are the ones seething with anger over non existent challenges which he has continuously imagined and willingly tutored to a pliant media which has ran out of ideas.
The populace has opened its eyes to the reality of these pseudo democrats who have taken activism of non existent challenges as permanent employment hence their readiness to reject them and their sponsors in any future elections. Instead of uniting forces with an ever ready to cooperate Zanu-PF Government, all what these failed regime change organisations undertake is to keep the nation in perpetual elections mode. This takes off the momentum which has been created in the implementation of the Zimbabwe Agenda for Sustainable Socio-Economic Transformation (Zim-Asset). In any civilized society such as ours, the duty of an opposition is to offer an alternative by critiquing policies of the incumbent party and/adding value to their policies.
The scenario is different with these kangaroo organisations in Zimbabwe who masquerade as opposition parties as their preoccupation has been to cast in bad light anything Zimbabwean. Such a scenario does not augur well with the electorate hence their decision to annihilate these Western sponsored stooges. If ever they is anger in Zimbabwe, it is anger against sanctions which these Western stooges fronted by the MDC-T, the so-called MDC-T renewal and the other MDCs who called for these diabolic measures.
Zimbabwe is a liberated country which Zimbabweans will defend through their vote by voting a pro-people party, Zanu-PF which stands for their aspirations.
